The Ultimate Miso Bone Broth: Why This Combo is a Game-Changer
Have you ever tried adding miso to your bone broth? We are here to tell you that if you mix it with Golden Coast Broth, it might very well be the best-tasting miso soup you’ve ever had.
We’ve included our simple, go-to recipe at the bottom of this post, but first, let's talk about why this combination is so magical.
The Secret to the Perfect Flavor and Texture
The reason miso works so beautifully with our bone broth is that our broth already features a finely balanced ratio of sweet, salty, and savory undertones. This naturally enhances the complex, fermented soybean profile of the miso.
Beyond flavor, it comes down to texture. Because we focus on crafting an ultra-premium broth that is highly rich in collagen and amino acids, Golden Coast Broth naturally has a thicker, more velvety viscosity. When you sip it with miso, you get that enhanced umami flavor, the savory undertones, and the hearty, comforting texture your palate craves in a delicious soup. Top it off with some chopped scallions, and it is absolute perfection.
Try it Hot at Our Local San Diego Farmers' Markets
There are many ways you can enjoy our miso bone broth. We actually sell hot, ready-to-drink cups of it at several San Diego farmers' markets! Come grab a cup and say hello at:
Little Italy Mercato on Wednesdays
La Mesa Farmers Market on Fridays
Solana Beach Farmers Market on Sundays
Make It at Home (With Local Delivery!)
If you can't make it to the farmers' market to grab a hot cup in person, no worries. You can easily whip this up at home—especially since we can deliver our glass jars of bone broth right to your door!
The fastest way to enjoy it is to simply mix the miso into your hot broth and sip it straight from a mug. However, it also serves as an incredible base for a larger meal. We love adding tofu, ramen noodles, or slices of beef and pork. That is the beauty of our miso bone broth: it tastes incredible however you prepare it.
Remember: a high-quality bone broth that gets gelatinous when refrigerated is the secret to getting the absolute best flavor and texture for your miso soup. We highly suggest using Golden Coast Broth because it is, quite simply, the best San Diego bone broth, period.
